Todagin River Headwaters, at the divide between the Iskut and Klappan drainages, would become a waste dump for tailings instead of a fresh water lake that since time immemorial has feed into Trail Creek, Kluea Lake and Todagin Lake, all known to the indigenous people nomadic to this area, for it's rainbow trout populations. Tahltan have guided sportsmen to the waters of this Lakes chain for over 55 years, even before the Stewart Cassiar Hwy. BC Metals plans to submerge the headwaters of this dynamic boreal ecosytem, and re-route toxic effluent through a collect and treat facility before releasing it's waters to the Klappan River. Water would be pumped up from the Klappan to submerge the landscape shown in this picture.
